Staff very friendly, good breakfast
It is a nice hotel, but the room was freezing cold, windows don't close properly and you can hear everything from the busy road.

Breakfast was nice (and the raisin bread excellent). Lunch and dinner are wonderful. Staff of hotel and restaurant are super friendly. The neighbourhood is lovely and especially fun to go around by bicyle. The hotel itself looks nice, authentic and well-kept.
We are both tall (1m90+) and the beds were a little bit on the short side, but still quite comfortable. The stairs were the only real problem: careful with your head while walking up/down the stairs.

Very quiet and peaceful location, with lots of walking nearby. Friendly Family run with excellent food. Although the rooms was simple it was comfortable. Have stayed there before and would certainly go back

nice family hotel with a very nice owner. We had diner at the restaurant/bar and stayed there afterwards to play some games with our kids. The environment is beautiful. Room simple, but ok. Beds comfortable.

Cute little town, pleasant staff.
Restaurant could have longer hours. Other options are available within a short drive, however.

Friendly service and a rustic atmosphere in the middle of the lovely Drentsche Aa area. Spacious room for a family of four, and a generous breakfast (for the gluten free family member as well.)
The room was a bit impersonal and not very cosy, but this is more a marginal remark than any serious critisism. The steep stairs to the upper floor require good mobility.

lovely location in the heart of a beautiful rural little town. lovely terrace in front of the herberg. very helpful staff. great breakfast! very handy "packed breakfast" if you need to leave earlier than service hours. good food and good beer! very handy location if you wish to attend Assen TT.
if noisy guests come back late at night, the insulation of the room does not prevent you from hearing them rather loud...
